Rutgers Learning Communities are self-selected groups of students and faculty, often from diverse backgrounds, drawn together through shared goals and common intellectual interests. These common interests might include study of such wide-ranging topics as French culture and language, women's leadership development, medicine, law, television production, wellness, cinema studies and social justice. Students in Rutgers Learning Communities enjoy some smaller classes, field trips related to their field of study, and social events that bring faculty and students together to share ideas. Learning Communities range in scope and commitment levels from special interest/themed residential communities to a comprehensive 4-year educational pathway that integrates academic coursework, co-curricular programs and living-learning communities. Choosing to participate in a learning community enhances your undergraduate experience by helping you learn more about Rutgers and its resources, make friends more easily, and fine tune the skills that will make you a successful student at Rutgers. We invite you to become a part of the wonderful world of Rutgers Learning Communities. |
