Middle East Coexistence House

Born from a student initiative, the Middle East Coexistence House is a living learning community designed to create a "hands-on experience in coexistence." The mission of the house is to promote women's involvement in international conflict negotiation and resolution and to encourage further understanding and coexistence between Jewish, Muslim, and Christian women at Rutgers University. Specialized programming, events, and travel opportunities designed to deepen students' understanding of the Middle East and coexistence efforts are offered each year.

Eligibility
Open to new transfer and continuing female students

Participation Requirements
Students are enrolled in a year-long 3 credit course (1.5 credits each semester), which is taught in-residence by a Learning Community Coordinator. In the Fall or Spring, students are also required to take a 3 credit linked course, with approval from their Learning Community Coordinator.
