Achievement in Math and Science (AIMS) — Residential Program
What is the AIMS Program? The AIMS Program is a unique Rutgers University, SAS/SEBS Living-Learning Community at the Busch campus. Small, select groups of first-year students enjoy the benefits of sharing common residential and academic experiences while making new friends, exploring common interests and being a part of a close community of peers. The AIMS Program creates purposeful links among the academic, residential, and social elements of the undergraduate experience during the first-year. Students considering studies in science, math or technology will benefit from living in Davidson Hall on the Busch campus and taking three shared courses with the same cohort of peers. Shared Courses In addition to other courses that you will take in your first semester, you will be automatically enrolled in three common courses with other members of the AIMS program in your first semester: (1) FIGS: Exploring Careers in Science (1 credit) (2) Precalculus College Mathematics or Intermediate Algebra (depending on placement test results) (3) Expository Writing (3 credits) In the second semester of the first year, students will have the option to co-register for specific courses with fellow students in the AIMS community. Why should I join the AIMS living-learning community? Students who join this program will benefit from the following enhancements:
